Hi.

This website was part of a very aspiring project of mine to compile practically anything related to the Dutch lighting and electronics giant Royal Philips NV in a single webpage, which I started two or three years ago, on 24th June of 2021, only for me to eventually have my interest in it burn out afterwards. A huge motivation for creating this webpage was that Philips and Sony co-developed the compact disc, yet initially refused to acknowledge each other's work on the invention, and information about Philips products were far more obscure than those by Sony.
Therefore, I wanted to create a humble effort that will perhaps inform the public of the many things Philips had contributed to technology, science, media and society in the past century. It's been gathering dust for months with barely any content and an "Under Construction" notice on the start page. I appreciate that others have more time, effort and money on similar endeavors like mine, though I'm still interested in gathering interesting information relating to Philips for the purpose of potentially posting them here. Otherwise, this website is effectively abandoned for the forseeable future.

I may eventually repurpose this URL as a Carrd or Linktree style page with links to my main website and my social media accounts. Maybe I'll eventually add more to this site when I feel like it.
